  • What is Subway Radio UK?
    Subway Radio UK has been created and designed exclusively for Subway restaurants. It features music that is brand appropriate and regularly refreshed, and is fully branded with Subway messaging and promotions to promote brand loyalty and drive sales. Subway specific adverts will be promoted at regular intervals during the day. Tailored to promote core products, services and current promotions, the adverts will amplify in restaurant messaging and enhance the relationship between customers and the Subway brand. IPC and Subway have partnered with AVC Immedia, who have provided Subway Radio since 2016.
  • How much does Subway Radio UK cost?
    The Alternate version of Subway Radio UK cost £162 per store per year plus VAT The Licensed version of Subway Radio UK cost £194.88 per store per year plus VAT and you will need to purchase a music licence to legally play the service in your restaurant (see below)
  • How do I Purchase new / Replacement Kit

    Yes, you can. We can create a single invoice that covers all your stores, making the renewal process quicker and easier. Just drop us an email at subway.renewals@avcimmedia.com and our team can arrange this for you.
  • What happens once I’ve signed up?
    If your restaurant(s) are currently receiving Subway Radio, the service will continue as normal. If you are a new customer or require a new player, please purchase your new Subway Streaming Pack by emailing subwayuk@avcimmedia.com.
  • What music does Subway Radio play?
    Subway Radio features music that is appropriate to the Subway brand and is designed to enhance the Subway restaurant experience for both guests and staff. The music on Subway Radio is refreshed at least monthly to keep the sound up-to-date. The Alternative music version offers appropriate music without the need to purchase an additional music licence to play in store. The Licensed music version offers the artists you know and love including the latest music. This version requires you to purchase an additional licence to legally play this music.
  • What’s required for Subway Radio in restaurant?
    You will need the Subway Radio Streaming Pack provided by AVC Immedia (this comprises a streaming device with SD card, power supply and cables). In addition you will need: · Amplifier · Speakers · Internet connection: a broadband internet connection and router are required with sufficient bandwidth to support a 56 kbps music stream. As the service is always connected we advise an unlimited download service. If you have opted to receive the Licensed version of Subway Radio UK you will need a PRS/PPL license to play this version of Subway Radio in your restaurant. This can be obtained from pplprs.co.uk If you have opted to receive the Alternate version of Subway Radio UK you will not need an additional licence to play the service in your restaurant.
  • Is Subway Radio installation complicated?
    No, Subway Radio is easy and quick to install. You simply plug the streaming player into a spare port on your router and connect to a power outlet and amplifier. Subway Radio will then play.   • Who do I contact if I have technical issues with Subway Radio?
    If you have any problems installing Subway Radio or any technical issues go to www.getradio.info where you’ll find an easy to use online troubleshooting guide and self-help video.   • What happens if my internet goes down?
    The streaming player has a back-up SD memory card which contains music if your internet service goes down. The back-up programming will automatically play until your internet connection is restored.
  • What if I do not have a spare port on my router?
    If you do not have a spare port on your router then you will need an Ethernet switch/hub or port extender. If you need help with setting up an Ethernet switch/hub or port extender, you can contact TechNet, the IPC IT Service Desk, on 0800 158 3534 or technet@ipceurope.org
  • My router isn’t close to my amplifier and can’t be moved, what do I do?
    You have three options: 1. Run an Ethernet/Cat 5 cable from your router - to nearby your amplifier. Connect the streaming player to the Ethernet/Cat 5 cable and use the supplied cables to connect to your amplifier 2. Run a long set of phono leads from your amplifier to the router, and connect the streaming player to your router 3. Use plug-in powerline devices to create a simple, quick and low cost network extension (<£50) from the amplifier to the router (the devices need to be on the same main ring) If you need help connecting your amplifier, you can contact TechNet, the IPC IT Service Desk, on0800 158 3534or technet@ipceurope.org
  • Is there a warranty on the streaming player?
    The streaming player has a 5 year warranty. The SD card, phono cables, jack adapter and power supply has a 1 year warranty. Any replacement equipment required after these warranty periods are chargeable. To return a faulty player within the warranty period please follow this link
  • Do I need a music licence to play Subway Radio UK?
    If you have opted to receive the Licensed version of Subway Radio UK you will need a PRS/PPL licence to play this version of Subway Radio in your restaurant. This can be obtained from pplprs.co.uk If you have opted to receive the Alternate version of Subway Radio UK you will not need an additional licence to play the service in your restaurant.
  • Can I change the music service (from licensed music to alternative music or vice versa) within the annual payment period?
    Yes, you can change your music subscription by using the sign up form through the Get Radio website - https://www.getradio.info/. Once the Franchisee has signed up and has selected the preferred 'music type', AVC Immedia will issue a credit note and refund for the remaining months that was on the Franchisee's original subscription
  • What do I need to do if the Subway Radio Music Player is moved from one restaurant to another restaurant?
    Please notify AVC Immedia to process the account changes accordingly, plus AVC Immedia can update the music being played as the Subway Radio Music Player maybe programmed to play licensed music and you risk being fined by the local music licencing society!
